Hi, Ed,
I found another good page for marketing.
Marketing Tips-02
• Start a website for your work (and
other upcoming publications)
• Attend book conferences to stay up
with trends
• Ask for reviews of your work from
friends and other authors. Request that these reviews be posted on various sites such as
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Good reads, and other literary
sites
• Join the various social media sites
and publicize your work under Facebook, Linked in, YouTube, Google +, Twitter
and others.
• Join business referral groups and
author marketing through Meet up, Linked in or start your own specific
group.
• Check the search engines for sites
specifically constructed for authors to get assistance in marketing such as this
one www.wordsandwriters.com
• Ask libraries to offer presentations
on your work
• Get a hook – something that makes
your book different from all others
• Create videos to post to You
Tube.
• Send out press releases to the media
with every book signing, presentation or appearance
• Blog often on your own site as well
as being a guest blogger on another author’s website
• Spend time on what you love so make
time to write.
Most of all, try to be
patient in your quest for sales. Your
book and the momentum you will create with your marketing plan will take some
time to show results. All of your hard
work will eventually pay off soon.
